2023 White Rock Badminton Tournament Successfully Ended On June 25th

With 245 players participating in 24 events across six age groups and around 450 matches in three days, the first badminton tournament held by the South Surrey Badminton Society at Grandview Heights Secondary School became the largest badminton tournament in Surrey’s history and even the largest in British Columbia as of 2023. Players of all ages and skill levels from diverse communities in Surrey and Metro Vancouver signed up with tremendous enthusiasm. It was so popular that we had to close the entry earlier than the deadline due to the capacity limit. Thanks to all the players, their families and friends, our sponsors and volunteers, our tournament ran smoothly with high-level service and impressively aligned with the planned schedule. Just as what we have always been dedicated to doing, this event has brought fun and passionate badminton to every participant, more importantly with the contribution to the community’s public benefit. The final net proceeds of this tournament amount to $12,168 and has all been donated to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation. Your participation has led to a greater good in our community.  South Surrey Badminton Society would like to extend our utmost gratitude to all participants and supporters for such a fantastic badminton event.  We look forward to seeing you all again in our next tournament!
